Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels have been installed at Centro Medico SME in Varese (Italy), a private healthcare structure, which has been working in the field of medical imaging since 30 years. The supply has concerned different spaces: the reception, the waiting rooms, the conference hall and the corridors.
The buildings housing healthcare services, such as diagnostic centres and doctor’s surgeries, are often characterised by ceilings, walls and floors with hard and reflecting surfaces, which contribute to raise the noise levels to the detriment of users’ well-being. The acoustic correction project, conceived for Centro Medico SME, has included a combination of sound-absorbing panels of different shapes and sizes, installed on walls and on ceiling, some of which with integrated LED lighting systems.
In order to ensure adequate levels of confidentiality, into the reception and the corridors, Dot and Silente acoustic panels have been installed onto the walls, as well as a Silente ceiling-mounted panel with LED lighting system integration. The same acoustic solution has been chosen for the two waiting rooms: Silente panel with LED lighting system has helped improving the acoustic comfort of the rooms, while offering a functional lighting solution for these spaces.
Dot wall-mounted circular panels have been chosen for the conference hall, used for meetings and training courses for doctors, technicians and application specialists coming from different countries. This distribution of the sound-absorbing elements contributes to obtaining an adequate listening uniformity from the whole room, but also a bright chromatic effect thanks to the many tissue colours, which cover the panels.
