Caterline, a historic Varese-based company specialising in the distribution of food products for the catering industry, entrusted Progetto 172, in collaboration with Caruso Acoustic, with the project for the acoustic improvement of the event and training room used for the Caterline Academy.
The environment, which is used for refresher courses, show-cooking, workshops and product presentations, needed an intervention aimed at containing sound reverberation due to the multiple activities that take place there, from face-to-face training of professionals to events open to the public.
Silente sound-absorbing panels were therefore installed on the perimeter walls with an original and harmonious colour scheme. The vertical compositions created by alternating panels in shades of red and blue create a lively visual effect, in continuity with the predominant tones of the room, providing an atmosphere that is both welcoming and dynamic.
To complete the intervention, a number of free-standing Menhir sound-absorbing totems were provided, elements of great effectiveness in sound absorption, which can also be easily moved to the other workplaces, depending on the different layout configurations and needs.
The design realised has resulted in spaces that perfectly meet the training and presentation.
