Caruso Acoustic for Taverna Greca Mykonos restaurant in Milan (Italy)

Caruso Acoustic panels have been installed at Taverna Greca Mykonos in Milan, a typical restaurant by the Naviglio Martesana canal. The panels supplied were installed in the main area, an intimate space with colours and furnishings that conjure up images of the Greek island the restaurant is named after.

The aim of this project was to resolve sound issues typically encountered in restaurant environments, where acoustic quality is determined by a number of factors, including the layout and size of the room, the type of furnishings present and the finishing materials used. In addition to these structural characteristics, there are other factors, including seating and distribution of diners who, as background noise increases, tend to raise their voices. When evaluating and designing the acoustics of a restaurant, it is important to consider that noise level may vary depending on the number of people visiting. Silente ceiling-mounted, sound-absorbing panels are perfect for this type of setting; their technical and functional characteristics guarantee excellent absorption of low-frequency sounds, such as speech, significantly improving reverberation times inside a venue. In addition, distributing the sound-absorbing panels in a balanced and carefully considered way maximised the efficiency of the acoustic solution itself and ensured sufficient levels of comfort.

From an aesthetic point of view, the neutral shade of the upholstery fabric used for Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing products ensures colour continuity with existing furnishings and finishes, enhancing the surroundings and providing harmonious visual balance.
