Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing products for Infosys Consulting (Bucharest, Romania)

Caruso Acoustic’s sound-absorbing solutions were chosen by HTO Architecture and Engineering for the design of new offices for Infosys Consulting, a major IT business consultancy company based in Bucharest, Romania.

The work areas are in a building of over 3000 m2, designed to accommodate different types of venues, including offices, reception, breakrooms, meeting rooms and multifunctional spaces. As a result, acoustic correction of open and shared areas was key to this project in order to ensure sufficient levels of comfort taking into account the different needs of use.

The protagonists of the office areas are the triangular sound-absorbing panels Sail: the latest Caruso Acoustic novelty proposed in the version with lighting integration.Sail sound-absorbing panels can be installed on ceilings and walls, or suspended with adjustable cables;they are a high-performance acoustic solution, perfect for areas accommodating groups of people, such as offices and conference rooms. The suspended version with adapted set-up allows creative arrangements, giving rooms extra character and, at the same time, providing users with a comforting and smart-looking environment. To round the project off, efficient LED lighting systems were integrated into several panels to provide effective and even lighting in the concerned areas.

In the reception area, the use of Flag acoustic panels resulted in a high-impact volumetric effect and helped interrupt sound waves, minimising reverberation as a result. For common areas, offices and meeting rooms, custom-sized Dot and Silente sound-absorbing panels, in the suspended version with adjustable cables were chosen. Thanks to the special system used to secure the panels, they are at different heights, in order to make them appear light and vibrant.

The array of colours chosen for the panels’ upholstery fabric blends perfectly with the various textures of flooring and walls, which were used by the designers to create bold visual boundaries, characterising spaces designed to be divided according to different uses.

The outstanding compositional flexibility, the wide variety of solutions that Caruso Acoustic offers and the various ways in which the products can be customised in terms of size and colour enabled the special requirements of this major project to be fulfilled, helping to create stylishly modern and dynamic workspaces.
