Acoustic issues: low levels of absorption and acoustic comfort
In a management office, it’s important to ensure an orderly and comfortable environment in which we can both concentrate on our work and welcome other employees for one-to-one discussions.
The following case study proposes an acoustic-correction project for a management office with a small meeting and conference-call area, whose total size is 39 m³. The reverberation time (Tr) detected prior to installation is 1.81 s at an average of 250-2000 Hz, which is not suitable for ensuring a good level of sound absorption.
In order to reduce reverberation times and improve the acoustic performance of the office, 4 Silente wall-mounted sound-absorbing panels measuring 120x120x5 cm are due to be installed. Implementing this choice will bring the average Tr down to 0.62 s, with a sound-level reduction of -4.63 dB.
