Sail is a triangular sound-absorbing panel – in equilateral and isosceles shapes – designed for wall or ceiling-mounted installation or for suspended installation through adjustable cables. Available in two types of sound-absorbing materials, Stratocell® Whisper® and Basotect® by Basf®, SAIL panel is a high-performance acoustic solution suitable for small places such as offices, public buildings, learning spaces, multi-purpose rooms, study areas, commercial activities and restaurants. Its special shape, combined to the wide range of print and colour customisation possibilities, as well as LED lighting system integration, allows to creating charming geometric compositions during installation and to ensuring high functional performances in terms of acoustic absorption. This is a product of high compositional flexibility able to meet complex project requirements.

Lighting
The integration of modern LED lighting systems into sound-absorbing panels is a highly interesting specification on the market which Caruso Acoustic has been able to achieve. Guaranteeing the correct light output through lighting technology calculations means meeting customers’ needs and offering them effective applications based on different power and angle parameters for the beam of light. The sound-absorbing wall and ceiling panel Sail is available in equilateral shape with 120cm sides and in the isosceles shape with 120x120cm congruent sides. Thanks to the double fixing system, Sail sound-absorbing panel can be positioned effectively to guarantee the required level of acoustic comfort.
Panels with special measurements can be made upon request for specific project requirements.
FIXING
ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Caruso Acoustic products have been tested in reverberation chamber according to ISO 354, subdivided by type of application (wall, suspended horizontal, on stand, etc.), confirming the high acoustic absorption capacity. Data sheets and certificates are available on request. The Caruso Acoustic finished products meet the strictest standards of fire safety and are certified in class B-s2, d0 according to European standard UNI EN 13501-1, both with Stratocell® Whisper® and with Basotect® melamine resin by Basf®. This latest version has also successfully passed fire tests according to the USA ASTM standard E84-15b. These products comply with the ANSI-BIFMA M7.1 standard certifying the low emission of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in the air and fulfil the LEED “low emitting materials” credit, thus contributing to a healthier environment. Compatible with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM for Furnishings) in the version with Stratocell® Whisper® material. Coating fabric certified OEKO-TEX® standard 100.
