Nestled in the Chianti hills, Vignamaggio is an organic farm and historic winery in operation since 1404. In the splendid setting of the Borgo, the ballroom recently underwent acoustic correction with Silente sound-absorbing panels by Caruso Acoustic.
The environment, designated to host events and receptions, had critical issues related to excessive sound reverberation, which compromised its overall acoustic comfort. To solve this problem, a choice was made to install Caruso Acoustic’s Silente sound-absorbing panels, made with a customised print and applied to three of the room’s perimeter walls.
The decorations on the panels echo period illustrations, with putti portrayed in grape harvest scenes and celebrations typical of the Tuscan wine tradition. The bold black stroke on a light background lends a timeless elegance, recalling the rural soul of the village. The print on fabric, made with non-toxic and resistant inks, preserves the texture of the covering and the sound-absorbing properties of the panels.
In this intervention, acoustic requirements blend harmoniously with aesthetic customisation, creating an environment of great visual impact and consistent with its architectural context. The fixing system then allows the panels to be installed on any type of surface, such as in this case the stone walls of the structure.
Thanks to Caruso Acoustic, the ballroom at Borgo di Vignamaggio is now a welcoming and functional space, characterised by a sophisticated design that enhances the estate’s sense of hospitality.
