Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels have been chosen to decorate the areas of the Nursey school in Fiè allo Sciliar, a village in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Italy).
The building features different spaces over two floors: classrooms, workshops, offices and common areas; the wide entrance hall on the ground floor is linked to the upper floor through a central staircase providing access to the classrooms. The basic idea behind the acoustic requalification project is to guarantee a comfortable school environment thanks to the active role of the sound-absorbing products in enhancing the teachers and kids’ well-being.
The acoustic comfort in the educational field is nowadays an essential element to create spaces where secretarial, leisure and learning activities can be carried out at the same time.
Silente sound-absorbing panels – in the hanging version – have been installed on the ceiling in the main entrance hall over the central staircase and in the hallways among the upper floor classrooms. In the same hanging version, Silente panels have also been installed in the multipurpose room used as a gym and leisure area on the second floor. In this room, panels have been placed among the lighting points to allow a perfect integration to the room lighting.
Their fastening system, with adjustable steel cables, has played a key role in the panels’ installation, making it possible to align them with the inclination angle of the gabled roof, which is characteristic of the building.
The harmonious and balanced distribution of Caruso Acoustic products has given wellness and acoustic comfort to areas devoted to learning and concentration.
An experiential space, set off by Silente simple geometries and by the light shades of the covering fabric chosen for this project.
