Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels were chosen by BMG Rights Management (Italy), the Italian division of the Bertelsmann group’s record label, for its head offices in Milan (Italy).
The products supplied were used for working areas—offices, meeting rooms and open-space environments—in an elegant building located at the heart of Milan, characterised by its high ceilings and oak-wood flooring. The need to satisfy both the collective and individual requirements related to daily life at work was the main focus of this acoustic design project.
During the planning phase, the distribution of the sound-absorbing panels and their location, at a precise distance from nearby work stations, were carefully assessed to ensure that sound was properly absorbed in each room.
For the offices, suspended Silente acoustic panels were chosen, complementing the furnishings and lighting systems present—also installed using cables attached to the ceiling—harmoniously. As well as the suspended version, a wall-mounted Silente panel, complete with customised print designed ad hoc for the client, was installed in the meeting room. With a core made from either Basf® Basotect® melamine resin foam or Stratocell® Whisper® material, these panels are a versatile and flexible solution able to significantly reduce reverberation times in confined spaces.
The technical qualities and aesthetic versatility of Caruso Acoustic’s products allow for the perfect balance between functional sound-proofing solutions and organised workspace layout, resulting in a bright and balanced formal setting.
