A corporate multifunctional room is used for a variety of purposes: from team meetings and training sessions to business events. However, if the room acoustics are not good, background noise and reverberation can have a negative impact on all these activities. The sound quality in the room may not be satisfactory and it may be difficult to understand what is being said when someone is talking. In such an environment, it is important to ensure adequate acoustic comfort that meets the requirements of the different uses.
The following case study proposes a project for the acoustic correction of a multifunctional company event hall of about 115 m3.
The following table and graph show that the Reverberation Time (RT) in the room is 2.18 s when the room is unoccupied. Taking into account the possible uses of the room, a Tr of 0.65 s was set as a project goal.

The most effective solution involves inserting 8 Silente sound-absorbing ceiling panels measuring 120x120x5cm and 2 Menhir totems with a height of 2m near the diagonally opposite corners.
Free-standing elements such as Menhir can be easily inserted to complete a project and relocated according to the needs of the room, ensuring a high sound absorption capacity thanks to the quantity of sound-absorbing material used.
