The antibacterial protection applied to the removable, Oeko Tex-certified Trevira CS cover keeps it clean without compromising its properties and technical performance. The characteristics of the standard polyester-based fabric—a breathable, recyclable material that does not absorb moisture and is available in a wide range of colours—are also unaffected.

The silver-ion technology used to treat Caruso Acoustic fabrics is an effective way of keeping them clean and hygienic for long periods of time. When applied to finishes, this type of process has the following effects:
- Enzymes carrying oxygen are blocked
- Sulphur-containing proteins within odour-causing bacteria are inactivated
- Cell membranes are blocked
