Caruso Acoustic has recently finished installing sound-absorbing panels in the new auditorium at the headquarters of the CPC Group in Modena (Italy), a hi-tech company that, for over 50 years, has been internationally renowned for its mechanical and composite material machining for the automotive sector, with a special focus on manufacturing carbon components using mass production technologies.
Featuring a large ceiling, the exclusive 80-seat auditorium was fitted with LAMM armchairs from the L213 collection, installed in straight, tiered rows. In addition, 24 custom-made Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels, designed and manufactured specifically for the project, were supplied and mounted on the wall.
Located at the back of the auditorium, behind the stalls, the panels are equipped with customised fixing systems, enabling them to be positioned at full height and slightly offset thus creating a dynamic, moving visual effect. In addition, the compositional flexibility of the Caruso Acoustic products made exploiting the potential synergy between the acoustics and lighting, provided by LED lights around the edges of the units, possible.
From an aesthetic point of view, the colours of the upholstery fabric chosen for the panels—natural shades that blend seamlessly with the details and finish of the armchairs—help to create a harmonious balance further emphasised by the contrasting, colour-changing light beams of the multiple lighting systems present.
The project was supervised and developed by Moreno Trisorio projects & interior solutions and the CPC Group, in collaboration with the company.
