Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels for the JHD Dunant Hotel (Mantua, Italy)

Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels are the protagonists of the acoustic correction project carried out at the JHD Dunant Hotel in Castiglione delle Stiviere, in the province of Mantua (Italy).

Dedicated to Jean Henry Dunant, creator of the Red Cross and the first winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, the hotel houses Restaurant 1859, where Silente acoustic suspension panels have been installed. The restaurant is an open-plan room with large windows overlooking the inner garden. With the aim of ensuring maximum comfort for the customers and staff, the Silente panels have been suspended over the tables, ensuring an even distribution of the sound-absorbing material over the entire surface of the room. Thanks to the vertically adjustable steel cable fixing system, it was possible to position the panels at a distance from the ceiling compatible with the existing air conditioning system and lighting fixtures.
In addition, the designers’ choice of colour for the upholstery fabric ensured that the panels complemented and became one with the black colour of the ceilings. The result is an acoustically comfortable environment of great sophistication and aesthetic elegance.

In the offices, on the other hand, the decision was made to install Dot’s circular sound-absorbing panels – some of which are equipped with LED lighting. The special feature of the room is the vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams. Again, the flexibility of the suspension fixing system allowed Dot panels to be installed at different heights, following the natural curvature of the structure.

The versatility and extensive customisation possibilities of Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing solutions make it possible to best meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of all environments, adapting to different contexts.
