At Squid, an elegant, modern restaurant specialising in fish and shellfish located just outside Parma’s historic town centre, Caruso Acoustic sound-absorbing panels were installed.
Inside, the restaurant is characterised by its arches, exposed bricks and wooden beams, and is furnished with simple yet refined features that enhance the environment, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Ceiling-suspended and wall-mounted versions of the Silente sound-absorbing panel were chosen to improve acoustic comfort inside the establishment and reduce reverberation time.
During the planning stage, the positioning of the sound-absorbing features, in relation to the tables, was carefully measured to ensure an even distribution throughout. The installation flexibility provided by Silente products—available in a wide range of sizes and with fixing accessories—enabled the panels to be mounted from cables attached to the ceiling in between the existing wooden beams.
From an aesthetic point of view, the voluminous effect of the suspended panels, together with the vibrant colour chosen for the upholstery fabric, is striking. The result is a balanced area in which Caruso Acoustic’s sound-absorbing solutions provide the perfect finishing touch, fitting in seamlessly with the rest of the furnishings and fixtures.
