Right in the centre of Milan, inside the historic complex of Fondazione Stelline, Caruso Acoustic recently intervened to improve the acoustics of one of the conference rooms of the Congress Centre.
A room of exceptional historical-architectural value, characterised by high, vaulted ceilings, which presented critical problems related to excessive sound reverberation, having consequences for general acoustic comfort. In order to ensure maximum intelligibility, Silente sound-absorbing panels were installed to be suspended from the ceiling, fixed by a system of steel cables that allows their flexible and precise adjustment, thus enabling them to follow the sloping course of the vaults. To complement this, Silente panels were also applied in the wall panel version, to be placed along the perimeter walls.
For the hall, in addition to the installation of the acoustic solutions, a set-up with LAMM’s HL3 chairs, with their elegant and essential design, had already been planned in advance. Overall, the different shades of the complements characterise the space with a pleasant polychromatic effect, in continuity with the architectural context, giving it a vibrant and contemporary look.
Thanks to the acoustic project carried out, the hall now meets all the requirements of comfort, usability and elegance, perfect for hosting the numerous events and conferences of the Fondazione.
