Project: acoustic treatment of a commercial space
Size of environment: 203 m³
Acoustic issues: high noise level; high reverberation times
In commercial environments such as clothes shops, grocery shops, bookstores and beauty centres, acoustic comfort and customer well-being are an integral part of the retail experience. In these contexts, the quality of sound absorption is strongly influenced by the structure and materials used in the project. Adequate analysis and design aimed at defining proper acoustic requalification make it possible to reduce noise inside the commercial space, contributing to a more pleasant shopping experience.
The proposed acoustic treatment is for a 203 m³ clothes shop. The phonometric analysis carried out at the design stage revealed an average reverberation time (Tr) of 2.11 s at an average of 250-2000Hz. Considering the volume of the environment and its structural characteristics, the designers identified the Silente sound-absorbing panel as the most suitable acoustic solution to meet the sound absorption objectives. With the insertion of 18 Silente panels measuring 120x120x5, installed both on the ceiling and on the walls, the average reverberation time decreases by 4.69 dB, from 2.11 s to 0.72 s.

Caruso Acoustic products effectively respond to the need to reduce noise pollution inside commercial spaces, offering a solution that is easy to apply and avoids major structural interventions. Moreover, the wide range of customisation options for the panels, from fabric colours to specifically created prints, make it possible to improve the comfort of shops and businesses, thus meeting all types of technical, structural and aesthetic requirements.
