Infomobility S.p.A. is the company of the Municipality of Parma that manages the city’s urban mobility and transport services: from parking and transit permits for limited-traffic zones (ZTL), to the management of bike-sharing, car-sharing and shared electric kick scooter services. For their offices, Caruso Acoustic carried out an acoustic correction project across two distinct spaces with different requirements: the call centre and the public reception area, the front desk.
In the call centre, characterised by continuous conversation, minimising background noise and reverberation is essential for fostering concentration and ensuring clearer communication. To meet these needs, Silente sound-absorbing panels have been installed, some suspended from the ceiling, others mounted on walls using dedicated tracks. By covering different surfaces, these panels absorb sound coming from multiple directions, limiting its propagation and bounce between workstations.
In the front desk, which is frequented every day by the public, the project aimed to improve acoustic comfort during waiting periods and to ensure comprehensibility of the dialogue between the staff and clients. For this space as well, Silente panels in various formats were selected, some suspended from the ceiling by adjustable cables, others fixed to the wall with made-to-measure sliding bars. The wall-mounted elements were customised with printed fabric featuring, respectively, the Infomobility logo and a view of Parma. In this way the acoustic treatment becomes an integral part of the space’s image, expressing the client’s identity and its connection with the territory, combining acoustic effectiveness and visual identity at the same time.
With this project, Caruso Acoustic demonstrates once again how a single product range can meet multiple needs: making the daily work of telephone operators quieter and offering to the citizens a more comfortable, functional and recognizable reception area.
